El Dorado Charities Auxiliary is a group of passionate women within our community; committed to creating opportunities, providing voluntary services, and/or funding organizations that support the women, children, and families of Butler County, KS.

El Dorado Charities Auxiliary began in 1981, and since then we have been committed to a single goal; we strive to make our community a better place. We are a private, non-profit organization dedicated to providing funds to organizations and worthwhile projects in order to help those in need overcome challenges, while developing meaningful relationships with them.

Camp Quality Kansas

Camp for children with cancer

Camp Quality provides fun programs for children fighting cancer including a week-long overnight camp. These programs give the children a chance to be a kid. Their Motto is Letting Kids With Cancer Be Kids Again! During the week-long camp children can have fun, make new friends and not worry about the day to day struggles of dealing with cancer. They meet kids that are going through the same thing they are and they see kids that have won the battle so they can look to the future. One of our kids told me “I fit.” In so many places they are out of place and stand out, at Camp they are just like every other child there.

Student Art Exhibit

Many students receive recognition for sports and academic achievement. This is not the case when it comes to the arts. Young student artists are encouraged and motivated to excel with the hope that one of their works of art could be selected to hang in a “real” museum. This past year nearly 700 Butler County students participated in these exhibits with an attendance of approximately 1800 visitors coming to view their works.

Arc of Butler

Tennis Tournament

The mission of The Arc of Butler County is to assist families and individuals in providing resources, answers, and hope by sharing the passion for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The long standing tennis program and Neil Benson tournament, held in El Dorado, will allow those with disabilities to have fun while developing friendships and new skills. There is also an increase in physical fitness and self-esteem through accomplishment.
